About Us

Kyoto-Based.
One country. Singular focus.

We plan, organise, and run every tour ourselves. Every detail considered, every moment shaped by people who call Japan home.

What We Do

Private touring,
as we've always done it

Luxury Japan Travel designs and operates private touring experiences across Japan for discerning international travellers. Our fixed departures host a maximum of eight guests. Our private and custom tours are built entirely around you.

Every itinerary is created in-house. Every tour is accompanied by our Tour Director. We do not outsource operations, subcontract guiding, or resell third-party packages. The experience you receive is the experience we designed, tested, and refined ourselves.

The finest experiences in Japan cannot be scaled. They can only be earned through relationships built over decades.
Our Approach

Intimacy over scale.
Depth over breadth.

Japan rewards those who look closely. Our touring philosophy is built on three principles that shape every decision we make: intimacy over scale, depth over breadth, and care over convenience.

We keep groups deliberately small because the finest experiences in Japan — a private tea ceremony, a kaiseki counter with eight seats, a conversation with a master craftsman — cannot be scaled. They can only be earned through relationships built over decades.

Who We Serve

For those who have seen
the highlights — and want more

Our guests are well-travelled, culturally curious, and value substance over spectacle. They have seen the highlights. They come to us for the Japan beneath the surface — the places, flavours, and encounters that only deep on-the-ground knowledge can unlock.

We work with couples, private groups, and a select number of travel advisors who share our commitment to quality. Every engagement begins with a conversation, not a booking form.
